Illinois’ 6th Mission of Mercy (MOM) in Rockford
An event providing free dental care to children and adults in Illinois who are uninsured, underinsured and those who are unable to access dental treatment
The Illinois State Dental Society Foundation (ISDSF) is hosting Illinois’ 6th Mission of Mercy (MOM) on July 22 – 23 beginning at 6 a.m. each day. It is at the UW Health Sports Factory, 305 S. Madison St., Rockford.
The two-day MOM event will provide free dental care to over 2,000 children and adults who need treatment.
The mission involves more than 1,000 dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, lab technicians and lay volunteers who are donating their time and clinical skills. Available dental services include:
- A dental exam
- Teeth cleaning
- Fillings
- Partial dentures
- Other necessary procedures
Patients at the event will also learn about the importance of good daily oral hygiene practices, a healthy diet and routine preventive dental care.

There is no pre-registration for the event. All patients will receive care on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone suffering from dental infection and pain will receive high priority.
The Illinois Mission of Mercy event is hosted in different cities across Illinois on a biannual basis to provide free dental care to the uninsured, underinsured and those who are unable to access dental treatment.
