Focus Group: Share your Insight About Early Intervention
Families of young children with disabilities are invited to participate.
The Early Intervention Clearinghouse (EIC) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) is conducting focus groups with families of young children with disabilities. The purpose is to learn their perspectives about needed supports, information and services.
Families will also be asked to participate in a focus group discussion for 60 to 90 minutes. At the beginning of the focus group meeting, participants will complete a 20-minute questionnaire about their family and experiences with Early Intervention services.
Next, participants will take part in a focus group discussion, which is similar to a roundtable discussion.
Participants must be the parent or family member of a young (age birth to 8 years old) child who received Early Intervention services.
Participation is voluntary, and responses will be kept confidential. Participants will receive a $10 gift card and a package of resources.
To participate, please contact Meghan Burke at (217) 300-1226 or meghanbm@illinois.edu.
The focus groups will be held at the Family Resource Center on Disabilities in Chicago on March 22 at 10:30 a.m.
