A free orthopedic clinic for children ages newborn up to 18

The Northwest District Elks Lodge and the Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program are sponsoring a free children’s orthopedic clinic on Oct. 20 from 2 – 4 p.m.

The clinic will take place at the OrthoIllinois office of Dr. Scott Ferry, 324 Roxbury Road, in Rockford.

The clinic is for children from birth to 18 and focuses on addressing pediatric issues such as:

• Scoliosis
• Upper and lower body pain
• Various tendon, joint, muscle and bone-related hindrances

Dr. Ferry will examine and assess children’s physical health and provide a prescription when necessary. The Elks assist with treatment costs if the family cannot meet the expenses.

There is no charge for the exam, however, appointments are required.
