Children and Youth Orthopedic Clinic in Lincoln

A free orthopedic assessment clinic for children and youth with bone and joint development concerns

The Lincoln Elks #914 Lodge in cooperation with the Illinois Elks Children’s Care Corporation and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital are providing a free children’s orthopedic clinic on April 5 from 1 – 3 p.m.

The clinic will be held at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, 200 Stahlhut, in Lincoln.

The clinic with Dr. Thomas Borowieski is for children and youth up to age 18.  It is an ideal time to have a child checked for any bone and joint development concerns including:

• An uncorrectable deformity
• Complaints of back, knee, leg or ankle pain
• A back curvature

The exam is free, but an appointment is required. No medical referral is necessary for the clinic, however, physicians are welcome to refer patients to the clinic for a specific reason or second opinion. There are no charges for any services performed at the clinic.

The Elks Organization has been working with physically challenged children since 1928. The Elks provide 17 clinic locations throughout Illinois and offer financial assistance to the best of their ability for children needing further treatment or specialty equipment when the family lacks sufficient resources.
