Camp Red Kite 2024 in Chicago
Arts camp for youth on the autism spectrum ages 8 to 22
Chicago Children’s Theatre will host “Camp Red Kite” from July 15 to Aug. 2. The camp will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Camp Red Kite is a fun, dynamic and welcoming theatre day camp designed for young people ages 8 to 22 on the autism spectrum.
A trained team of theater professionals and diverse learner teachers will lead the camp and create a safe, engaging environment for all.
The camp divides campers into three age groups. These small groups will rotate between classes exploring:
- Drama activities
- Music and movement
- Visual arts
Camp will wrap up with a final showcase and potluck lunch to share the Camp Red Kite experience with family and friends.
The full camp cost is $900 per camper. Financial assistance is available. You can request financial help on your registration form.
All new campers must attend a Meet and Greet session with Red Kite staff.
