Access to Waves Adaptive Water Ski Clinics in Rock Island

Adaptive clinic for people with disabilities to experience water skiing

Backwater Gamblers Access to Waves is providing two adaptive water skiing clinics. The first is on July 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The clinic allows people living with paraplegia, quadriplegia, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, visual impairments, amputations, traumatic brain injuries and more to experience the joy of water skiing.

The clinic will start at 9 a.m. and typically runs throughout the afternoon. The clinic will assign slots to participants once the event gets closer.

The cost is $10.

Individuals must complete all registration forms and have permission from their doctor to participate.

The second clinic is on Aug. 17 beginning at 9 a.m. There are no rain dates for the sessions.
