City of Chicago Rental Assistance Program

The Rental Assistance Program (RAP) provides funding to Chicagoans who are at risk of becoming homeless. RAP helps Chicagoans who have housing right now, but who may become homeless soon because they lost income or had another eligible emergency which prevents them from paying rent.

Food Pantry at Christ Church in East Moline and Silvis

The Food Pantry at Christ Church provides groceries to over 10,000 people annually at its Silvis and East Moline campuses.

Food is distributed at:

  • The Silvis Food Pantry, 1301 2nd Ave., on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
  • The East Moline Campus in the Family Life Center, 3801 7th Street, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Central Illinois Foodbank

The Central Illinois Foodbank provides food, raises awareness, and creates solutions to food insecurity in partnership with over 140 agencies across 21 central and southern Illinois counties.

The Central Illinois Food Bank is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Kumler Outreach Ministries provides help to neighbors who are struggling in the greater Springfield, Illinois area. Programs include a food pantry, medicine program, neighborhood gardens, free personal hygiene items, diapers and newborn items.
