Cerner Charitable Foundation (formerly First Hand)

Cerner Charitable Foundation’s application-based individual medical grants provide funding for children to receive needed care. The foundation advocates for children and their families in the healthcare system, connecting them to providers and resources.  Applications are accepted from the United States and through select international providers.

Funding criteria include that the child must be 18 years of age or younger (individuals up to 21 with developmental disabilities may also be considered).

The types of grants awarded fall into four main categories:

  • clinical
  • equipment
  • displacement
  • vehicle modification

If the child is receiving care outside the United States, contact the foundations’ case managers at casegrants@cerner.com.
