Central Illinois “South of I-80” Conference in Jacksonville for Parents and Caregivers of Children Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
A free in-person conference at multiple Illinois sites for parents of children who are deaf and hard of hearing
Join the Illinois School for the Deaf Outreach Services for the “South of Eighty” Conference for Parents of Children Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing on Sept. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Parents and caregivers of children who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) will attend sessions focused on:
Session topics will focus on:
- Early intervention
- Preschool
- School success
DHH youth 13 and older and professionals working with children with hearing impairments are also welcome to attend the conference.
The conference is free and in-person only.
Free childcare will be available for children ages 3 to 12. Childcare is free, but participants must register.
Please submit any accommodation requests at least three weeks before the event date. American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available at all three conferences.
