Free, hands-on computer science and technology workshops for youth in fifth through eighth grade who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families

Join the Chicago Park District Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs for “Deaf Kids Code.”  Youth and family events will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on:

  • Jan. 13, Feb. 3 and March 2 (Youth workshops)
  • Jan. 27 and March 23 (Family coding events)

Deaf Kids Code provides youth with hearing loss powerful computer and engineering skills to prepare for the future.

Participants ages 10 to 14 will have a blast creating, developing and presenting their own:

  • Portfolio
  • Computer coding
  • Resume writing skills

Coding isn’t just for the kids! Families will also have two opportunities to learn new skills and face fun challenges together.

All activities take place in partnership with the Kids Code Foundation.
