Webinar: Aging of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The Illinois Life Span Progam of The Arc of Illinois is hosting the lunchtime webinar “Aging of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities” on Sept. 10.

Lieke van Heumen is the presenter.  Van Heumen is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

This presentation includes a brief introduction to the aging of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It also provides an overview of the challenges this population experiences to age well and supports that can be provided.
