Annual Lions Fishing Derby at Shabbona Lake State Park

Free event for persons for persons with disabilities.

Members of 15 Lions clubs provide this “day in the park” at no charge for any person with a disability and their family.

Shabbona Lake State Park is located just south of Shabbona, Illinois, in DeKalb County, on U.S. Highway 30.

Activities include pontoon boat rides on the lake, the State of Illinois Montreal Canoe, games and lunch (please provide any special diet requirements), tram rides, a petting zoo and a volunteer for every youth member present.

The event begins at 9 a.m. but activities are not structured, so participants may move about at your own leisure.
