Free, family-friendly summer-long series of accessible environmental science activities for all ages and abilities

The summer environmental science series offers a different presentation every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Join the Rend Lake Visitor Center for “Zoofari Earth” on May 25.

Naturalists from Animal Tales will entertain the audience with six live animals from six continents at:

  • 10 a.m.
  • Noon
  • 2 p.m.

The visitor center also has more to explore, including:

  • Interactive exhibits where visitors can see area reptiles, fish and more
  • A working honey bee hive where you can see all the action going on in the hive
  • On-site native plant garden
  • Brochures and information about trails, camping and other activities

Presentations are free and open to the public. Programs will be at the Rend Lake Visitor Center unless noted.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited.
