Zoo Goes Blue for Autism in Brookfield

Complimentary day at the zoo to recognize National Autism Awareness Month.

Brookfield Zoo is partnering with Autism Speaks to welcome the autism community for a complimentary day at the zoo in recognition of National Autism Awareness Month.

The zoo’s iconic lion statues will be clothed in blue scarves, and blue flags will decorate the park’s grounds. Throughout the day, special Zoo Goes Blue activities will be taking place for families with children on the autism spectrum.

The zoo provides Care Kits that can be checked out by families, which include zoo visual schedule books, noise-reducing headphones, name tags, “if lost” ID bracelets and safety alert badges.
