YMCA Camp Independence for Adults with Spina Bifida in Ingleside
A traditional overnight camp experience for adults aged 20 and older with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities
Join YMCA Camp Independence for its overnight camp sessions for adults. Check-in is on Sunday at 2 p.m. Check-out is on Friday at 2 p.m.
Sessions for campers aged 20 and older with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities will take place in June and July:
- Session 2 on June 22 – 27
- Session 6 on July 20 – 25
Campers can enjoy:
- Playing sports
- Creating arts and crafts
- Singing around the campfire
- Boating and more!
Learn, share and build friendships alongside others with different abilities in a welcoming and encouraging environment. Campers will be active in their own care.
The cost is $1,850 per camper per session. Financial assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last. After registering, please email campduncan@ymcachicago.org to request a financial assistance packet.
