“What’s For Dinner” Teaching Kitchen in Springfield
A free seminar for families to learn how to shop for and prepare a healthy and affordable meal
Join “What’s for Dinner?”, sponsored by the Springfield YMCA, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Memorial Health and County Market, on Oct. 2 from 3 to 5 p.m.
The meal prep activity will be at Memorial Wellness Center, 320 E. Carpenter St., second floor, in Springfield.
“What’s for Dinner?” is a “teaching kitchen” where families will learn all about shopping and preparing a healthy and affordable meal.
The seminar is free with all ingredients provided. Adults and children over 12 are welcome.
The event also includes a nutrition scavenger hunt at County Market. Participants will compete for gift cards and a have chance to be the grand prize winner.
