Learn about navigating Illinois’ PUNS waitlist and services and supports into adulthood for people with disabilities at this free in-person event for caregivers

McLean County Unit District 5, Child and Family Connections of Central Illinois (Look What I Can Do) and The Arc of Illinois will host “What is PUNS?” on Jan. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. The presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Does your child participate in special education services and will need supports and services into adulthood? This event is a great opportunity to connect with other caregivers face-to-face and learn about the PUNS (Prioritization of Urgency of Need for Services) waitlist.

Annie Bruno from The Arc of Illinois will help participants gain a better understanding of PUNS and the services available in Illinois through the Home and Community-Based Waiver.

Annie will cover:

  • The purpose of the PUNS waitlist
  • How to navigate a PUNS selection
  • How to choose the right services for your loved one
  • Resources you can access while waiting

Annie will also provide plenty of time for answering questions.

The event includes dinner and childcare.
