Webinar – “Your Child’s Right to Appropriate Transition Services”

Free training on your child’s right to appropriate, individualized transition planning and services

Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center is hosting a training webinar on “Your Child’s Right to Appropriate Transition Services.” It is scheduled for 12 p.m. Oct. 27.

Appropriate transition planning and services prepare students for life after high school so that they may live independently, go on to further education or training, work, and participate in the community.

This training will focus on your child’s right to appropriate, individualized transition planning and services, what this plan and services may look like, and what to do if your child is not receiving these services.

Presenters are:

• Emily Wilson, a staff attorney and Skadden Fellow with Equip for Equality
• Mike Shea, an attorney in the Special Education Clinic of Equip for Equality
