A free webinar for families, educators and service providers discussing the importance and many ways that families interact with their Independent Service Coordination Agency (ISC) to access services and benefits

You’re invited to join Connect to Community for “Working With Your Independent Service Coordination Agency (ISC)” on Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

The ISC plays an important role in accessing services and benefits for the families they serve.

Whether it’s Community Alternatives Unlimited (CAU) Service, Inc., or one of several other ISC agencies, Arc of Illinois Ligas Family Advocate Ruth Aguilar will discuss the importance of knowing the various ways that families can and will interact with their ISC including:

  • Registering for the PUNS database and PUNS updates
  • The new PUNS selection process for funding
  • What happens after being PUNS selected and the choices that need to be made
  • Crisis funding
  • Switching between Home-Based and CILA services.

Aguilar is the Ligas Family Advocate for the northern region of Illinois and has over fifteen years of combined experience advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
