A free webinar to help Social Security Disability beneficiaries and their families/caregivers understand their options and successfully transition to work
The Illinois Assistive Technology Program (IATP) Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program helps Social Security Disability beneficiaries get the information they need to transition to work.
Join IATP-WIPA and the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services for this “WISE Event” on May 15 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Online WISE Events will be available through May to help individuals receiving Social Security Income/Social Security Disability Income (SSI/SSDI) understand the WIPA program.
If you are working, have a job offer, ready to start employment, or a veteran, this webinar will explain Social Security work incentives and how working will affect your public benefits.
Participants will learn about:
- How work earnings will affect your state and federal benefits such as Medicaid or housing
- Healthcare options available while working
- The Ticket to Work program
- How to enroll in WIPA services
IATP-WIPA serves 67 counties in Illinois through a cooperative agreement with the Social Security Agency.
