A free, live webinar to help parents and caregivers gain a better understanding of brain development, child behavior and tantrums

Join Children in Therapy and You (C.I.T.Y.) of Support for “What to Do During a Tantrum? The Brain Science Behind Your Child’s Behavior” on Oct. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Children’s ‘difficult’ behaviors may often seem random and unpredictable.

Increasing knowledge of brain development is helping parents and professionals make sense of child behavior.

Presenters Cori Hork, a licensed clinical social worker, and M. Angelica Barraza, an occupational therapist at Kidnectivity, will discuss their blog and share information to help participants understand the science behind children’s tantrums.

Topics will include:

  • The child’s brain during a meltdown
  • Strategies to help based on the science
  • Modeling and language

The webinar will also include an interactive question and answer session.

Registration is required.
