A free webinar for parents and professionals on understanding dyslexia, dyscalculia and what to look for in young learners.

Join STAR NET Region V for “What is Dyslexia and Dyscalculia? Busting the Myths for Parents and Professionals” on Jan. 14 from 6 to 7 p.m.

This webinar will provide participants with a better understanding of dyslexia, dyscalculia and knowing what to look for in young learners.

Participants will learn about:

  • What dyslexia is and isn’t
  • Early childhood developmentally appropriate literacy skill milestones
  • How to support literacy skills vs. reading skills in early learners with disabilities
  • Dyscalculia, a learning disorder that impacts understanding of number-based information and math
