A free, lunchtime webinar for caregivers and families to learn more about the Division of Specialized Care for Children’s services and support
The Arc of Illinois Family to Family Health Information Center webinar series will feature the University of Illinois Chicago’s Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) and our services for families.
“What Families Need to Know About Care Coordination for your Child with Special Needs” will take place on Jan. 19 from 12 – 1 p.m.
As a parent or caregiver of a child with special needs, it can be difficult to navigate the maze of healthcare appointments, insurance or Medicaid coverage, available services and supports your child needs.
Molly Hofmann, DSCC’s Director of Care Coordination, System Development and Education, will explain how we can help. She will discuss:
- Our care coordination and what it may include for a child with special needs
- How care coordination can help your child get better care
- Our Connect Care Program
- How to receive care coordination from your child’s Medicaid managed care organization (MCO)
