Join the National Technical Assistance Center on Transition: The Collaborative (NTACT:C) and RAISE Center for “Voices of Experience: Family Stories and Essential Resources for Transitioning Students with Disabilities” on Feb. 6 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Webinar participants will hear directly from parents, caregivers, education professionals and others who have navigated the transition from high school to adult life. These personal stories will provide valuable insights into the challenges, triumphs and practical strategies they’ve used along the way.

The session will also cover:

  • The transition planning process for families and professionals.
  • Strategies for beginning transition planning early, engaging in community-based activities and supporting students in building readiness for adulthood.
  • Tips for education and vocational professionals on engaging families and fostering collaboration in the transition process.
  • The importance of person-centered planning and supported decision-making in helping families and professionals advocate for the unique needs of each student.
