Webinar – “Understanding Special Education Summer Series : Part 1 – IDEA: The Big Picture”
A free, three-part webinar series to help individuals understand special education, its purpose and the process
PACER Center invites parents, guardians and others to prepare for a new school year with this three-part workshop series. Each session will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m..
The dates and topics are:
- Aug. 16, Part One – Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA): The Big Picture
- Aug. 23, Part Two – IEP: Access to Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE)
- Aug. 30, Part Three – What’s Next: Parent Action, Accountability and Resolving Differences
Part 1 will explore IDEA. At the end of this session, participants will understand the big picture of special education, the steps in the process and how to go about obtaining an educational evaluation.
