A free webinar for students, teachers and families on understanding and coping with back-to-school stress and the mental health challenges in an uncertain school year

Mental Health America, Sutter Health and the Mental Health Coalition are hosting “Teachers & Families: Coping with Back-to-School Stress” on Sept. 30 from 1 – 2 p.m.

Another uncertain school year has begun. Students, teachers and families are still adjusting to new ways of learning.

Many adults are facing their own stressors and mental health challenges while trying to support children. Teachers and school staff, along with parents and extended family, are uniquely positioned to help youth.

Join this presentation with a panel of experts on how to build resiliency this school year by focusing on the support system around our children. Areas of discussion will include:

  • Understanding how teachers, parents and guardians can take care of their own mental health.
  • Increasing awareness around students’ mental health needs.
  • Communicating between school and home.

Save your spot and register online to attend.

This webinar will be recorded and available to the public within one week. A certificate of attendance is available upon request after the event.
