Free webinar from the perspective of a self-advocate on stopping stigma and using inclusive, respectful language for people with disabilities

Join the Illinois Self-Advocacy Alliance for “Stopping Stigma! Using Respectful Language” on May 23 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Presenter and self-advocate Kaela Denny will walk participants through using the most up-to-date terminology and stopping stigma.

Kaela’s presentation will include:

  • A focus on autism and the voices of self-advocates
  • Guiding participants through some of her life experiences as an individual with autism
  • Providing examples of newer terminology popping up within the disability culture and community
