Webinar – “Siblings”
A free webinar focusing on siblings and the challenges and issues of taking care of an adult family member with disabilities through life’s changes
Join The Arc of Illinois’ Illinois Life Span (ILS) and Family to Family Health Information Center (F2FHIC) for “Siblings” on June 13 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Presenter Gissel Esobedo will help participants gain insight into the issues and challenges a family member or sibling faces when trying to take care of an adult with disabilities while other members of the household adjust to life changes.
Esobedo’s discussion will focus on areas such as:
- Careers
- Retirement
- Immigration and citizenship
- Senior citizen healthcare systems
Escobedo is a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) graduate. Currently, she is a Fellow with a Chicago community organization that focuses on immigration, education and affordable housing.
