Family caregivers, youth and friends of children with medical complexity are welcome to join along with healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers and anyone invested in advancing clinical care in CMC.

This inaugural session “Knowledge Gaps in the Care of Children With Medical Complexity and Neurodisability” will provide an overview of the topics that will be delivered throughout the series.

A family representative will join co-leads Dr. Eyal Cohen and Dr. Catherine Diskin to introduce a 2020 international study that prioritized key clinical research questions for the care of children with neurodisability and medical complexity. This study is the basis of this webinar series.

This session will also focus on:

  • Discussing the challenges with the current evidence base guiding many care practices for children with medical complexity with neuro-irritability
  • Describing the list of top priorities for clinical research in children with medical complexity and neurodisability

Future seminars will include a panel of national experts, both clinical and caregiver, and feature an overview of the topic and a conversation on shared decision-making in pediatric complex care. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, share insights and engage with the panel.
