A free webinar series for individuals with disabilities, parents and professionals to learn from experts and advocates in the autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities field

Join the University of Illinois Chicago’s Institute on Disability and Human Development, the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (IL LEND) and the Autism Program of Illinois (TAP) for “Rights for Self-Advocates and Families in Guardianship and its Alternatives” on April 13 from 12 – 1 p.m.

This webinar will share important information about rights for self-advocates and families under guardianship. Presenter Cristina Headley with Equip for Equality will cover topics including:

  • What guardianship is
  • Alternatives to guardianship that may be a better fit for the needs of the self-advocate
  • Rights under guardianship
