A free webinar series for families, doctors and policymakers interested in building a community of practice for the care of children with neurodisability and medical complexity

The Collaborative Conversations with Families to Advance the Clinical Care of Children with Medical Complexities and Disabilities (C6), funded by The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, is hosting “Polypharmacy” on March 10 from 12 – 1 p.m.

This is part seven of a 10-part seminar series that builds on an international study, completed in 2020, designed to highlight key clinical research questions for the care of children with neurodisability and medical complexity (CMC).

This session will provide an overview of polypharmacy and a panel discussion focusing on shared decision-making in pediatric complex care with Sarah Carlson, a mother of a child with multiple, severe disabilities and a family consultant for Family Voices of North Dakota.

She also directs four intermediate care facility (ICF) homes supporting 24 adults with severe disabilities.

Carlson is experienced in navigating the complex world of rural healthcare and services for her own family and many other families in Western North Dakota.
