An opportunity for caregivers and professionals to explore supported decision-making and how systems are expanding alternatives to guardianship

Join the National Center on Advancing Person-Centered Practices and Systems (NCAPPS) via Zoom for “Pathways to Person-Centered Decision-Making and Alternatives to Guardianship” on June 21 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Supporting people to make choices is a priority for person-centered systems. Current efforts across the country and internationally to implement supported decision-making and other alternatives provide an opportunity to help people take control of their lives.

This free webinar will focus on exploring how systems are expanding alternatives to guardianship, such as supported decision-making. Supported decision-making is where people choose supporters to help them make important decisions in their lives.

National experts, state representatives, advocates and people with lived experience of disability from Colorado, Georgia, and Wisconsin will outline strategies for systems and introduce a new NCAPPS resource to help expand supported decision-making.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and live-captions in both English and Spanish will be available.

If you require additional accommodations, please contact Saska Rajcevic at srajcevic@hsri.org. Please note that some accommodation requests made less than one week before an event may not be possible.
