A free webinar series to help individuals understand special education, its purpose and the process
PACER Center invites parents, guardians and others to prepare for back to school with a series of workshops. Each session will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on:
- Aug. 23, Part Two – IEP: Access to Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE)
 - Aug. 30, Part Three – What’s Next: Parent Action, Accountability and Resolving Differences
 
In “Part Two – IEP: Access to Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE),” participants will learn:
- How a child is determined to be eligible for special education
 - The next steps after a finding of eligibility
 - The required parts of the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
 - Important action steps for parents after receiving an IEP
