Webinar: “Navigating the Financial PATH Ahead”

Free webinar to help people with disabilities fund the life they want and the supports they need.

The Illinois Association of Microboards and Cooperatives is hosting a webinar entitled “Navigating the Financial PATH Ahead” at 7 p.m. Jan. 8.

This webinar will explain how people with disabilities can fund the life they want and the supports they need by braiding together their own work income, government disability benefits such as Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, and supplemental resources from their family.

The presentation includes a discussion of Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare Work Incentives. It will also cover the use of ownership structures, such as special needs trusts,  and financial products, such as ABLE accounts.
