Free webinar celebrating Judy Heumann’s legacy and lasting impact

Judith “Judy” Heumann (1947 to 2023) was an internationally recognized disability rights activist who became known as “the mother” of the Disability Rights Movement.

Join the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Judith Heumann LLC on Zoom for “Marching Forth: A Celebration of Judy Heumann’s Legacy and Impact” on March 4 from 7 to 8 p.m.

March 4 will mark the one-year anniversary of Judy Heumann’s passing. This presentation will include remarks from Heumann’s family and guests, including:

  • AAPD’s president and CEO Maria Town
  • Tony Award winning actress Ali Stroker
  • Author Kelley Coleman
  • Musical artists Lachi and James Ian

This webinar is open to anyone who wants to celebrate and learn more about her lasting achievements.
