Webinar – “Mapping Dreams: The Transition to Adulthood”

Free educational training for transition-age youth and their parents/guardians

The Southern Illinois Transition Project is hosting a free educational training webinar on the transition from school to adult services. “Mapping Dreams: The Transition to Adulthood” is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on March 16.

The training is for transition-age youth ages 14 1/2 to 21 years old who receive special education services and their parents/guardians.

Participants will learn about:

• Transition in the individualized education program (IEP)
• The transition components of employment, post-secondary education or training, and independent living
• The transfer of parental rights
• The Summary of Performance

Registration is available online. The deadline to sign up is March 15.
