Webinar – “Illinois State Board of Education Updates”

Hear an overview of ISBE’s special education responsibilities and what resources are available to parents.

The Illinois Life Span Program of The Arc of Illinois is hosting a lunchtime webinar on Illinois State Board of Education special education updates at 12 p.m. Oct. 20.

Barbara Moore, Director of the Department of Special Education for ISBE, will lead the presentation.

Participants will hear an overview of ISBE’s Department of Special Education’s responsibilities for the general supervision of local educational agencies in their implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). She will also highlight the department’s key projects and services.

Participants will also learn about resources available to parents, including those associated with the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
