Join Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center (FMPTIC) on Zoom for “Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission (IGAC): Special Education Programs & Services” on Feb. 13 from 12 to 1 p.m.
IGAC special education rights manager Laura Hart will give an overview of the agency’s special education programs and services.
Topics will include:
- IGAC services
- Training, advocacy and legal services offered by the Special Education Division
- Laws supporting special education
Hart will also answer questions and provide examples of laws and how they’re used in supporting educational needs.
Families with children with disabilities and professionals throughout Illinois are welcome to attend.
