The Arc of Illinois’ Illinois Life Span Program and Family-to-Family Health Information Center free webinar series on Zoom will feature the Illinois Assistive Technology Program (IATP) on May 14 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Join IATP staff to learn about the program’s wide variety of services available to all people with disabilities in the state of Illinois.
Smart Home Manager Steve Daniels, Chef Instructor Elizabeth Wright and Jacqueline Gunther, OTD, OTR/L, CAPS, will discuss IATP’s new Smart Home and Tech Kitchen programs.
Learn how assistive technology can make your home and meal preparation safer, easier, and less stressful!
Participants will take a “tour” of assistive technology, including:
- Voice control options for appliances
- Apps that can help with reading recipes
- Adaptive kitchen tools for knife safety, heat safety, mixing, pouring and labeling.
The webinar is free and open to anyone who wants to learn more about this topic.
