Join The Arc of Illinois for “IL ABLE: A Tool to Help Build Financial Wellness for People with Disabilities” via Zoom on June 22 from 12 to 1 p.m.
IL ABLE is a savings and investment plan giving people with disabilities and their families a way to build financial wellness without risking federal government benefits like Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid.
IL ABLE accounts allow people with disabilities and their families to save and invest their money for expenses related to living with a disability. This webinar will cover the basics of the IL ABLE Account and how it can increase many individuals’ financial independence.
Participants will also learn about:
- Who can own an IL ABLE account
- Who can open/manage an account on behalf of an account beneficiary
- Contributing to, saving and spending with an IL ABLE account
- The benefits of owning an IL ABLE account
