STAR NET Region IV will host “How Parents Can Speak Up for Inclusion Without Second-Guessing Themselves” on Oct. 9 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Ever feel like you’re navigating a maze when advocating for your child’s inclusion in preschool?

Join presenter Charmaine Thaner to replace doubts with action plans and ensure your child thrives in an inclusive learning environment.

Designed for parents of 3- to 5-year-olds with disabilities, participants will discover how to:

  • Turn “special” education myths upside down
  • Build meaningful relationships with educators
  • Ask questions that will open doors

Charmaine’s years of advocacy as a parent and special and general educator have changed her son Dylan’s life and the lives of hundreds of students with disabilities. She is passionate about using her educational and personal perspectives to help parents become even more effective advocates for their children.
