Webinar – “Healthy Relationships and Sexuality”

A webinar providing parents and professionals strategies for teaching individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) about healthy relationships and sexuality

Join Connect to Community for “Healthy Relationships and Sexuality” on Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

The desire to love and be loved is universal, but the myths and misconceptions surrounding people with I/DD often lead to rules and restrictions that make healthy relationships difficult to obtain.

Presenter Susan Kahan, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist at the University of Illinois Chicago with a focus on developmental disability and trauma, will provide participants with tools and strategies for teaching individuals with I/DD about healthy relationships and sexuality. She will also cover the role that this plays in preventing sexual abuse.
