This webinar will guide participants through getting these discussions started and the steps your family should take to create a future plan.
Presenters will cover:
- Barriers that people and their families may face in planning for the future and how to overcome those challenges
- Why it is critical for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers to discuss the future
- The six core areas of what’s included in a future plan
Information will also be provided about free resources available from The Arc’s Center for Future Planning that can help facilitate these discussions.
This webinar will be captioned and interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL).
