Join the Gallaudet University Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center for “Fitting the IEP Pieces Together for Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing” on May 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

If you’re involved in Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings for children with hearing impairments, join this panel of experts for the strategies and resources you need.

Gallaudet University Professor of Social Work DT Bruno, LSW, LMSW, will moderate this panel that will answer your questions and cover topics including:

  • The roles and responsibilities of IEP meeting members
  • IEP, 504 and other types of meetings
  • Practical approaches to creating common ground
  • The Clerc Center’s Parent Advocacy site
  • The IEP toolkit for deaf and hard of hearing students

The webinar is free for parents, teachers, service providers and IEP coordinators interested in learning more. Participants will receive a comprehensive list of resources two weeks after the event to help enhance awareness, options and opportunities for sharing.
