Virtual Family Forum -“Families Share Their Healthcare Journeys”/Las Familias Comparten sus Experiencias con la Atención Médica”
A virtual family forum featuring four families and their experiences getting needed services and health care for their children with special healthcare needs
The Arc of Illinois Family-to-Family Health Information Center invites you to the “Families Share Their Healthcare Journeys” family forum on Aug. 17 from 12 to 1 p.m.
The Arc of Illinois wants to hear from you! This family forum webinar will begin with presentations from four families with children with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions. They will discuss:
- What was needed
- How they advocated for it
- What support was received and how it was obtained
- Advice to other families
The remainder of the webinar will be an open forum for all participants to discuss and make suggestions on how Illinois’ healthcare system can improve to fully meet the needs of families of children with disabilities.
