Learn about Illinois’ Emergency Respite Care program for caregivers of individuals with disabilities across the lifespan

Join the Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) and the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) for “Emergency Respite: What You Need to Know” on May 8 from 6 to 7 p.m.

The IRC will provide information focusing on the Emergency Respite Care (ERC) program and how eligible Illinois caregivers of individuals with any disability across the lifespan can access it.

The IRC coordinates the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Developmental Disabilities’ (IDHS-DDD) ERC program.

Participants will learn about:

  • The ERC program
  • Funding and stipends available through the IRC to support caregivers in planned or unplanned crisis or emergency situations
  • Program eligibility and the intake process
