Learn strategies for using the IEP to provide support for children with mental health needs

Children and youth with mental health needs have experienced new or different challenges with distance learning and hybrid learning models. Many parents may struggle to know how to help.

This free webinar from PACER Center will provide parents and others with information and resources on the role of special education to address those challenges.

“Educating Your Child With Mental Health Needs: Special Education” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 16.

Presenters will address topics, including:

  • Understanding behaviors and barriers to educational progress during distance learning
  • Strategies for communicating about mental health needs
  • Examples of supporting children and youth with an individualized education program (IEP) during distance learning
