Join the Arc of Illinois Family to Family Information Center via Zoom for “Do You Have Questions About the Guardianship Process?” on Dec. 8 from 12 – 1 p.m.
Presenter Sarah Hess, Senior Staff Attorney, Legal Council for Health Justice, will help families with a young adult with a disability understand all guardianship options including:
- Powers of Attorney for Health and Property
- Successor Guardianship -Standby and Short-Term
- Living Will
- Health Care Surrogate Act
Hess will also discuss the guardianship process and:
- The levels of adult guardianship – plenary, limited and temporary
- The pros and cons of co-guardianship
- When a guardian needs to be removed
