Learn advocacy strategies to use during the pandemic

The University of Chicago Medical Center is hosting a live webinar series to help support deaf and hard-of-hearing children’s return to the classroom.

The “COVID-19: Advocating for Students Who Are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing” webinar is scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 19.

Tabitha Belhorn, executive director for Ohio Hands and Voices will share advocacy strategies to use during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Belhorn, MS, is the mother of three children, of whom the oldest is deaf. She has worked with families for over 15 years, providing resources, guidance and support to families of children who are deaf or har- of-hearing. She has experience supporting families of children who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, deafblind and deaf plus additional disabilities.
