Free presentation for parents of children who are deaf/hard of hearing and professionals

Hear to Learn is hosting the webinar, “Building Your Child’s Vocabulary,” on Feb. 26 at 12:30 p.m.

Parents of children who are deaf/hard of hearing who are pursuing the listening and spoken language approach and professionals that serve them are invited to join this discussion.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the role that incidental learning plays in vocabulary development as well as the role that technology plays in facilitating a child’s ability to overhear.
  • Understand how talking and reading with a child builds his/her vocabulary.
  • Learn listening and spoken language strategies to help build a child’s vocabulary.
